written by phelt on 2011-07-04 #gear #tutorialsConverting your medium format camera into a 35mm one isn't new. However, I found a lack of resource as to how to accurately advance the knob and avoid film wastage. Hopefully, this tip will help other medium format camera owners figure out the number of turns you will need per exposure to make the most out of your 35mm roll.

Lubitel 166B: My Solid Soviet Companion
written by xxxanderrr on 2011-09-23 #gearEver since bought, the Lubitel 166B has been a reliable and serious friend and companion. I consider it the Anti-Holga, or even the Anti-Diana -- not in a bad way of course. But it's just everything those cameras are not -- a serious camera for people who like to have full control of their shots.

Lomographic Milestones: It All Started 17 Years Ago
written by bloomchen on 2013-12-23We've had 20 years of Lomography, and I've been a part of the movement for almost 17 years. But, I said "almost" because I had long breaks in between. Anyway, I think it's time to look back at those old pictures from the beginning. I have to admit I never made an effort to scan all my old pictures, but there are still a few of them. I think it's worth it to have a look at them.

Lubitel 2: A Lubitel 166+ Minus 164
written by brandkow93 on 2012-05-14 #gearA much cheaper version of the Lubitel 166+ and in my opinion, just as good. A TLR which I feel is very underrated in the Lomography community and in the whole photography community. It has a nice bright waist level finder, sharp T-22 75mm f./4.5 lens, and very easy to use fully manual controls.

The Film that Will Not Exist Any More: ORWO Color NC19 (120, 64 iso)
written by fish300 on 2010-08-06 #gearNot so long ago I got 10 coils of film - the ORWO colour NC19 - on the internet auction. When I bought this film at once I knew that it would be necessary to show it on cross-process (C41) because the manufacturer of this film, and chemistry for it (ORWO 5168) was stopped approximately in the mid-nineties, but the price surprised me: 2$ for a film.

My Lubitel Story: No, It's Not a Rolleiflex
written by graefin on 2008-09-30 #newsNo it's not a Rolleiflex and it's not a Hasselblad I'm holding in my hands. But people sometimes think so when they see me standing there with my Lubitel pointed at a great motive ready to take the picture. "It's a LUBITEL", I tell them and they just look at me sceptically.
