Lomographic Milestones: It All Started 17 Years Ago
written by bloomchen on 2013-12-23We've had 20 years of Lomography, and I've been a part of the movement for almost 17 years. But, I said "almost" because I had long breaks in between. Anyway, I think it's time to look back at those old pictures from the beginning. I have to admit I never made an effort to scan all my old pictures, but there are still a few of them. I think it's worth it to have a look at them.

Lomopedia: Lubitel
written by pan_dre on 2013-04-26 #gear #lomopediaThe name “Lubitel” roughly translates to “Amateur” . Like the Komsomolets, it was produced in Bakelite. And just for kicks – a Chinese copy of this original Lubitel emerged in 1961 under the mysteriously hilarious name, “Changle.” .

Lubitel 2: A Lubitel 166+ Minus 164
written by brandkow93 on 2012-05-14 #gearA much cheaper version of the Lubitel 166+ and in my opinion, just as good. A TLR which I feel is very underrated in the Lomography community and in the whole photography community. It has a nice bright waist level finder, sharp T-22 75mm f./4.5 lens, and very easy to use fully manual controls.

Lubitel 166B: My Solid Soviet Companion
written by xxxanderrr on 2011-09-23 #gearEver since bought, the Lubitel 166B has been a reliable and serious friend and companion. I consider it the Anti-Holga, or even the Anti-Diana -- not in a bad way of course. But it's just everything those cameras are not -- a serious camera for people who like to have full control of their shots.
