Budapest Embassy Store

The Budapest Embassy Store is located at downtown Budapest, where most of the clubs, restaurants, pubs, and cafes can also be found.

Our store offers a wide range of Lomography products, films, and lab services. We also have a small cafe so every lomographer can spend some great time here, having coffee while reading books and magazines about film photography. In our store, we welcome everybody with a friendly atmosphere and adept shop staff. We often have events, parties, exhibitions in the store, as well as some spontaneous workshops and screenings of old black and white Super 8 movies, so it’s always worth it to visit us!

Which one is your favorite Lomography camera and why?
The LC-Wide because it is small, has a great light meter, plus we fell in love with its wide-angle lens.

What’s the weirdest Lomographic moment you’ve ever had?
A customer brought her film taken with the Spinner for processing. When the negative was ready, it turned out that her film was already exposed in the late ’60s so she had a whole roll of double exposures. Great Spinner shots overlaid with photos from a German family holiday. Real time traveling!

What is the silliest question you’ve ever been asked in your shop?
There are a lot of them – “Which camera takes black and white pictures?” “Are these cameras disposable?” “How many pixels is it?” “On the Diana F+, P is for portrait, right?”

Where is the best place to shoot some Lomographic masterpieces in your city?
In ruinpubs, on the bridges over the Danube…
