Today, on the 27th of April, the Netherlands transforms into vibrant shades of orange to celebrate the king's birthday. It's the perfect time to dig out your finest orange outfit pieces and immerse yourself in the festivities.

The day (and night) is famously filled with drinking beer and parties. But it's also distinguished by a unique Dutch tradition: for this one day, the government allows anyone to sell goods on the streets without needing a permit or having to pay taxes. So, flea markets everywhere! This makes it an ideal occasion to refresh your room's decor or to find that funky new outfit.
