sea, swallow me

I came up with the idea for this photoshoot in May when I came to visit my friends in Busan and recharge after a hard semester. I was reflecting and journaling a lot, listening to the Cocteau Twins, lying on my favourite beach and hiding between big rocks and collecting shells. Or running through the labyrinth of the tall grass that grows at the park near beach as some sort of answers were waiting for me at the end of it. Sometimes I wanted sea to swallow me. I was looking at these non-stopping waves as a metaphor of endless possibilities and opportunities we all try to reach which sometimes can be harmful for yourself as you’re forgetting to slow down. I wanted to capture this feeling forever through my art.
