In the Tsaritsyno estate, an important place in the creation of an architectural and park ensemble is occupied by ponds with islands. If you pass from the Great Palace to the Upper Tsaritsynsky pond, you will see the Wharf with sphinxes, made in the form of a staircase, to the sides of which there are sculptures of mythical creatures. The wharf with the sphinxes was recreated during the restoration of the museum-preserve in 2006-2007. The sculptures were created by the Moscow master Alexander Augustovich Pirogov.
