A retro collection looking at the Utopian architecture of the '60s and '70s that is often dismissed as ugly by people today.

Camera Collections: Alexandr Altabaev's Soviet Stash

This week's Camera Collection is proof that analogue love could run in your family's blood. Community member @japsix from Sevastopol shows us her father's massive medley of Russian cameras that her mom won't even allow to be kept in the house because there's just so many!

My dear friend artichekt took me on a lomowalk to show me a little part of the amazing architecture of Düsseldorf. It was a sunny day and we just couldn't stop walking, talking and taking pictures. In fact we both ended up with a bad sunburn ;-)) Nonetheless it was a great day! Thanks for doing this with me, pal! - Home developed in Tetenal C41 Rapid Kit -

I have looked at a bunch of Sunset Strip albums and although I liked the colors I saw I wasn't crazy about the grainy look. So I decided to try a roll out in the X-Pan to see what this film is capable of. I set the exposure for 125, just under the 100 rating, so that when it was cross processed it wouldn't get the highlights so blown out. I really like the results! It just goes to show that a very high quality lens will give you a big reduction in grain and excellent color rendition.
