Exposing both sides of the film (EBS). Around 15 - 30 seconds for negative side, 20 - 45 seconds for redscale side. Have a look at my article about this technique: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/01/14/tipster-how-to-take-symmetrical-images-with-exposing-both-sides-of-the-film-ebs

  • Both sides of the daily life

    shared by hodachrome on 2012-06-27

Exposing both sides of the film (EBS). I shot on correct(normal) side first in a sunny/bright day, at ISO400(ISO800 film inside). Below half of the lense was masked with a splitzer. After finished a roll, reverse the film (in a dark-room). Then start shooting on redscale side in a cloudy/rainy day, at ISO200. Upper half was masked with a splitzer. The order of each location is precisely the same as 1st shots. I took notes in details about locations and shot all places with iPhone, to remember locations. Need patience, concentration, and accuracy for this challenge. Plus must be careful with 'gaps' between frames. From ”filmsoup-swap” project with my favorite photographer fotobes. About this photo I shot first in Japan (Matsumoto Castle, Nagano), and then he started shooting in UK. He shot at Millennium Bridge, London. After finishing the roll he ”cooked” the film. On completing the roll, he mixed together some boiled water with silica gel and washing detergent, and left it to cool a little. Then he went into his make-shift darkroom and pulled out the film from the canister. Next he flicked and dabbed the ”soup” onto the exposed film. He waited for a few minutes and then rewound the film into the canister. Afterwards he went to the kitchen and dropped the film into just-boiled water, and after 5 minutes I transferred it into cold water for a minute. Then back in the darkroom he pulled the film out from the canister again and dried it with a hairdryer, and when done he rewound the film. The film was then developed at Asda, and scanned at The Vault in Brighton. We don’t discuss what we have each taken photographs of, so the results are always a surprise. Check out fotobes’s album from the same project. http://www.lomography.com/homes/fotobes/albums/1995715-lc-a-plus-film-soup-swap-with-hodachrome

LC-A+ meets stars. First tried stellar lomography wth LC-A+. Valve photography. Exposed for 1 minute. Lomography X-Pro100 (Cross processed). Really tough challenge in minus 15 degrees, but I enjoyed a lot.

  • My Old Friend

    shared by dhuffone on 2011-01-27

This is one of my favorite trees to photograph, it is less than a mile from my home. It sits alone on a hillside near the interstate. I have named it "Solo". I am a little worried about my old friend because the land it sits on has just been sold. I hope the new owner will see what a beauty she is :-) Here is a link to a sweet stop-motion video of me shooting a polaroid of her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCRNOUp6OD8 My girlfriend opened this film and put it back in the closet for a few months without the sealed wrapper. So I got some cool numbers and dots from the ink on the paper backing!
