Barcelona September 2024 La Merce Fireworks Mashup!

I shot 3 full rolls worth of film over 3 nights of Barcelona's La Merce fireworks. And while they looked OK at first, the were somewhat... cliché. And we wouldn't be on Lomography if we wanted cliché, no? So I mixed, messed, and mashed the heck out of them! Most of these multiple exposures were made on my scanner with the 'negative sandwich' method. The odd splotches on some of these photos are Newton rings, from negatives touching the scanner bed. If you need to know, Cameras are Pentax Spotmatic and Ricoh Kr-10x. Films are Kodak Ektar, 50d, Flic Elektra, and Ultramax 400, all mixed up in various combinations.

Barcelona

There’s a special kind of energy that flows through Barcelona – a mix of Mediterranean ease and artistic boldness. Gaudí’s surreal buildings rise like sculptures between sunlit boulevards, setting the tone for a city where visual inspiration is around every corner. Whether wandering through busy markets or catching golden hour on Montjuïc, Lomographers will find endless scenes full of movement, texture, and color.
