Postboxes

I am a little older than the typical Lomographer (maybe) and one thing that I remember, before the internet was the excitement of coming home from school and running to the post or mailbox. We did not live near other relatives and my dad was often abroad. I got excited as letters and packages from came from different parts of the country and world and arrived in my little aluminum box at the street. They were like little presents. Today I still get a little excited when I know a package is coming, but often the postbox is empty and it is my inbox that is full.

Island of Hawai’i

Country/Region: United States
Island of Hawai’i

The Big Island of Hawai’i is the biggest of the eight main Hawaiian islands, hence its name. On the Kona side, the island is covered with black lava rock, a result of lava flow from the island’s five volcanoes. On the Hilo side, the island is covered in lush landscape because of the frequent rain, which never fail to bring rainbows. Set out on a snorkeling adventure or explore the diverse environment with your Lomography gear.
