Pigeons on Piazza San Marco, Venice. Double exposure

The legend tells that the first pigeons were brought to Venice by an ambassador to cheer a wife of a Doge. Escaped from the cage, the birds proliferated in Piazza San Marco. It was then a countess' place to contribute to their maintenance, giving available to the City to use his assets to provide a daily ration of corn to the beloved pigeons.
