Self Portrait 1 Hour In Camera Lumen

1 Hour exposure self portrait in camera Lumen photograph. I pre-focused the camera on a box with my hat on top before moving it and sitting in frame. Sitting for 1 hour becomes almost painful as your nose will always itch or your leg starts going to sleep! The very shallow depth of field makes this camera challenging to use!

Wow that takes true commitment. I guess you can see why the early photographers had those scary looking head clamps.

@rkm-tsl Thank you, and yes the commitment is slightly insane. I was thinking about how much easier it would have been clamped in position!

I also have something Funny to share! I want to use my Passion for Photography to help me overcome my fear of Sharks. I’ve always been good at Snorkeling, but ever since I saw Spielberg’s *Jaws*, I’ve been afraid of the Ocean...

@steamtug1959 I don't think you are alone with that fear inspired by Jaws! I have an irrational dislike of large bodies of water.... but I adore sharks when on television, especially the Basking Shark that we sometimes get in British waters. You would not get me snorkeling although I could lose a lot of my dislike of water if I had a photographic mission. I could see it helping with the shark problem although I might visit a Sea World Centre first!!

Suffering for your art, big respect from me:) Next time you could try setting an alarm, putting your feet up and having a nap!

@charliedontsurf Thank you very much! The church bell tells me when an hour has passed, would definitely consider setting and alarm with my feet up!
