I'm from Frome in Somerset and I have for the last few years being getting back into photography. As a child I loved to take photos using an old Olympus camera. Then along came APS and that killed my interest. Leap forward a few years and suddenly I've an iPhone and the pictures are good. That got me back into photography and after doing a local photo walk I decided I needed to get serious and start to learn about things.

I've also joined Mastodon and discovered the #SilentSunday hashtag and this made me want to improve. That improvement led to me buying a 20 year DSLR and from there into the concept of vintage lenses. So next thing you know I've a multitude of 35mm cameras - a couple which sort of work and the others are defective in some way. Suddenly I'm into refurbishing lenses and using wet film again. Oddly it is terrifying and yet freeing at one and the same time.

Which lead me to here and so I'm continuing to learn.

Ok so here is the currently list of my cameras:

Active 35mm cameras:

Chinon CE-4 - another charity shop find, takes the Pentax K mount so yet another camera system I've got into.

Olympus OM40 program - not a charity shop but a flea market this time. I'm having mixed results with it and totally not sure if it is a keeper.

Yashica GSN Electro 35 - came from a second hand stall. Everything works well and it is a joy to use.

Rollei 35 LED - saw this and just couldn't resist it. Looks in superb condition and everything seems to work although the shutter speed dial seems suspiciously stiff.

Olympus Pen EES-2 - a half frame camera that I found at another flea market. It all seems to work but currently running a roll of film through it - although at 72 exposures it could take a while.

Active 120 Cameras:

Lubitel 166 Universal - this was my first introduction into 120 format and it was in a state - fungus, light leaks and a dodgy focusing wheel. This became my first victim erm attempt at camera repair and after spending some months I've now cleaning it, re-sealed it and fixed the focusing wheel, so it works.

Yashica 635 - Another TLR and one I fear that has rather replaced the Lubitel 166.

Ensign Selfix 16/20 - bought at the same fair that I acquired the Fujica at, mostly so I could take part in Folder Week. This is a lovely camera to use, although I am getting used to the focusing of it.

The unknown one - acquired at a flea market. It is in shocking condition and when I bought it still had a film in it (which I developed). All I know is that the body looks a bit Ensign but the shutter and lens assembly isn't something Ensign would have fitted being a Prontor II shutter and the lens being a Steinheil München Cassar f2.9/7.5cm s/n: 479455 which according to camera-wiki was manufactured in 1939!

Pinhole:

RealitySoSubtle 6x6F - it is a fun 6x6 120 camera to use. I find the shutter release stiff though.

Ranica Mir 6 - great shutter but don't think the images it produces are as nice as the RealitySoSubtle, sadly.

Digital:

Nikon D610 - this is a replacement for my beloved, and now sadly deceased Nikon D50. It is a lot more modern that the D50 but it is full frame DSLR.

Other cameras I've picked up on the way:

Halina 35X - strange 13mm camera with a funky user experience. Tempted to run a roll of film through it for reasons.

Agfa Ambi Silette - lovely early 1960s rangefinder with an interchangable lens system. This was apparently Agfa's attempt to take on Leica. It is quirky but fun to use.
