Spring. The first days of March. Siberia. Siberia without embellishment...
This is the Biya River. It flows resoundingly through rapids from Lake Teletskoye (Golden Lake), unique in its purity, depth, and volume of water. The river's mouth is probably about 100 kilometers away. After 200 kilometers, the Biya River joins the Katun mountain river. The Biya River is a transparent, sparkling, and resonant diamond of the Altai Mountains. It a treasure trove of the local nature. Winter allows me to stand right in the Biya Riverbed, almost in the middle. Some fishermen do this in summer, too, but in high boots and not in this spot.
