    Cool. I have never seen until now bats captured in flight. I am sure there are other pictures, but this is the first I've seen here.

    @DOUGER - if it flies like a bat, sounds like a bat and smells like a bat - it is a bat. These are some of the local colony of flying foxes - I never get tired of watching their antics. Cheers. Alexi (aka Barry)

    Flying foxes? How big exactly these bats are?

    @DOUGER - the animals are quite small but they do have a large wingspan (50-60cm). They are called flying foxes because (someone decided) they look like little foxes (?) - they are not the size of foxes - but I think that that would be terrific. (bats.org.au/).
