Death Rail
On Enzo's birthday, we got up at the crack of dawn for the excursion all the way in Kanachaburi Province. Early on was a somber history lesson at the the War Cemetery, the JEATH War Museum of the POWs forced to work on the Bridge of the River Kwai where I wanted to pee all over myself coz of my wretched fear of heights.
The best part was switching groups and going all the way to this community raising elephants, which they let us ride and hand-feed. Then Tiger Temple, a sanctuary run by monks. They were pretty strict with attire (I had to use the tour guide's sweater) and taking photos but you can't blame them for it. My entire life I've been dreaming of holding a big cat like this but I couldn't stop prannygoosing that it would just chomp my head off. It was awesome and nerve-racking altogether.
