Trip to Japan #6, Day 5 - We spent the day in the Motobu region, in the north of Okinawa Honto, with our friend who was kind enough to drive us around. He showed us some fantastic spots for food and photography, and it was undoubtedly our best day on the island! Thank you so much ! (The next day turned out to be the worst... stuck in the hotel for 24 hours because of a typhoon! but this is another story) For this day of exploring—with overcast weather that might turn rainy (or not)—I decided to take along my Prima AS-1 and the Sprocket Rocket.

Trip to Japan #6, Day 6 - We continued our day with a visit to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. It was very crowded, as the beaches were closed due to the approaching typhoon.

So, that night I had some ideas with my friend, she was lonely and nothing else to do, so I grab a couple rolls of Kodak Tmax 400 and Diana F+ camera, book some Hotel room, and shoot. I just can't think, just shoot a couple rolls then leave.

Above Hnanice (a short distance from the Havran Settlement), there is a hill with a beautiful view and two chapels. Temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius, strong, blinding sun, steppe vegetation, rocky outcrops, silence and sweat everywhere you can think of. Summer vibe. (Noblex 135 S, Ilford PAN F dev. ADOX XT-3)
Trip to Japan #6, Day 5 - Shuri Castle was the former seat of power for the Ryukyu Kingdom. Conquered by Japan in the 19th century and left to fall into disrepair, destroyed during the horrific Battle of Okinawa in 1945 (the worst of the Pacific War), and rebuilt only to be destroyed again—this time by an accidental fire in 2019—the castle is set to rise again like a phoenix in 2026. During our visit, construction work was not yet fully complete, but we could still admire its structure and striking red color. The site also offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Naha, with the Pacific Ocean on the horizon—simply magnificent.

This Fuji Auto 70 DX was gifted to me and after a good clean I decided to take it with me to Berlin. The Auto 70 is basically the Auto 8 only with the Quartz date back removed and a safety shutter lock added. The camera itself is a bit wonky, something that fits my vibe well, as the flash doesn't work and the camera has a light leak in really harsh lighting conditions. But on the whole I'm really happy with this well put together wee camera.

It was well into blue hour, the flash doesn't work and I had no tripod. I balanced the camera on the handrail and trusted to luck.
