The bridge over Kwai River

at first, The bridge was built in 11 isolated parts with the curved bars beside the railway. But the 4th., 5th. and 6th. parts were bombed by the Allied Air force.

The 3 broken parts were replaced by 2 parts with the square bars beside the railway.

you may notice the square bars parts are a little bit longer than the curved parts.
