The first 35mm camera I ever owned was a Minolta AF-E point & shoot, bought in 1985 because I wanted a "good camera" to take on honeymoon. I still have it, but it has lain at the back of a drawer for some years. I came across it the other day and decided it needed to have a film put through it for old time's sake. First problem was the battery compartment - it seemed fine without batteries, but wouldn't stay closed with batteries inserted. Gaffer tape to the rescue! I took it on a couple of lockdown walks near my home so the pictures aren't exciting, but I got images, which is nice.
