Analog ALChemy

After 30 years, I developed film again. I went to a store and asked for the cheapest black and white film. They gave me Kentmere PAN400. I ordered sodium sulfite (Na₂SO₃), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), paracetamol, and mixed my own developer — (Pa)Rodinal I ordered sodium thiosulfate (Na₂S₂O₃ ) and sodium sulfite (Na₂SO₃), and mixed my own fixer. I developed it for 9 minutes at 20°C, with the first 60 seconds of continuous moderate agitation. After that, 10 seconds of gentle agitation every 60 seconds. Stop bath in lemon juice. 7 minutes and 30 seconds in fixer. Washing, washing, washing. Drying overnight. The next day I scanned it using my “The Cheapest 35mm Film Scanner” setup. Belgrade

Belgrade is one of the most fascinating cities for street photography in Central and Southeastern Europe. Its layered cityscape – from 19th-century facades to Bauhaus, brutalism, and bold contemporary forms – tells a story of constant reinvention. Street art, performances, and cultural events pulse through the city, blending heritage with a raw, modern energy that’s perfect for analogue exploration.
