Where it began - 5

Here we go a visit to Laycock Abbey in Wiltshire, the home of Henry Fox Talbot, the man who invented the salted paper and Calotype processes. Whilst the Abbey is pretty closed at the moment, the photography museum although small is great fun to visit. The day was very overcast with rain and drizzle so long exposures were the order of the day. As you can see there has been a lot of rain recently, the river has broken it's banks and has flooded the grounds in front of the Abbey. Love how the reflections are recorded with this film.
