Hannah at the Academy of Fine Arts, II

From my second shoot with Hannah, several years ago. Corona just had started and the first lockdown was about to be lifted, or the second one was going in effect in Germany. I can't remember it exactly. As an introverted person, the lockdowns did affect me in a whole other way than most people and also as a photographer, these lockdowns had a welcome side effect. The streets were empty, every once crowded place laid barren and so a lot of locations opened up that I wouldn't have used before. So, I tried to make the best of these horrible times of back then uncertainty and weariness. I think this series makes for a few nice photos. I wanted to test my theory that heavy grain, portraits/fashion and statues would work well together in a kind of grungy mood and I think it worked out well!

Munich

Country/Region: Germany
Munich

Many think of Oktoberfest first, a celebration of Bavarian culture. But Munich has a lot more to offer. With countless museums and this whole creative underground that most tourists miss. Step outside and it softens into green, with a scatter of parks offering space to pause.
