Yup! No effort, really... one of the joys of instax. Shoot into the sun (or any other light source), and instant black spot! Anyone can do it, even you :)

I'm no specialist! I don't know that the cameras are necessarily all that expensive, but the film can be. Why I generally go for 35mm ($12.xx/$15 a roll of 200asa/400asa as opposed to about$20 for a pack of 10 instax mini. And the other sizes like instax wide and Polaroid Originals SX70 & 600 are more again). Still worth it. :)
