This is one on my favorite photos. It was taken in Camden Town (London) when my friends came to visit me. I like it because it was a surprise. I didn't know I had taken a photo of the wall already (it was a mistake probably) but I love the result. My friend Rebeca looks like a graffitty painted in the wall
While sipping a cola in a restaurant in Fada a big delegation of the Tour du Faso, the big African cycling event, stopped by. Abdoul Aziz Nikiema sat down and had a big bowl of rice with tomato sauce. I approached him and asked, with my limited french, if I can photograph him, which he gladly agreed to. It turns out, he just won the maillot jaune and two days later he would be the overall champion of the race. This was quite a fortunate bottle of cola for me…

For my 29th birthday I invited my friends Arjen & Manon who run a project called http://www.tintypestudio.nl/. They brought down their Tin Type Mobile Studio with dark room and full camera equipment to shoot some wet plated collodion photos of me and my friends. We had lots of fun and I truly love the stunning results. We created nicely shaped paper frames with our own 1920 stamp with our initials in it. To finish up the project.

"Be that word our sign in parting, bird or fiend," I shrieked, upstarting-
"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken!-quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
