With each rainfall, the air takes on the scent of summer. Much like last year, yet somehow different. The ever-returning scenes of everyday life are full of color. 『真夏を待つ頃 迎える頃 2025』一雨ごとに空気が夏を含んで匂いたつ。去年と同じようで少し違う。繰り返す毎日の景色はカラフルだ。
Trip to Japan #6, Day 5 - We spent the day in the Motobu region, in the north of Okinawa Honto, with our friend who was kind enough to drive us around. He showed us some fantastic spots for food and photography, and it was undoubtedly our best day on the island! Thank you so much ! (The next day turned out to be the worst... stuck in the hotel for 24 hours because of a typhoon! but this is another story) For this day of exploring—with overcast weather that might turn rainy (or not)—I decided to take along my Prima AS-1 and the Sprocket Rocket.
Above Hnanice (a short distance from the Havran Settlement), there is a hill with a beautiful view and two chapels. Temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius, strong, blinding sun, steppe vegetation, rocky outcrops, silence and sweat everywhere you can think of. Summer vibe. (Noblex 135 S, Ilford PAN F dev. ADOX XT-3)
As soon as Flic Film announced the release of Fusion 200 35mm film I bought three rolls, shooting 2 of them last week The first roll is now with a pro lab I use for most of my professional work(they'll be another two or so weeks). I brought this set to a provincial drugstore chain and these are the unedited auto scans. I don't have the negative back yet to do my own scans and I'll post a comparison once I do. I think over-exposing was a mistake... and I was a bit bold in my choice, over-exposing by about three stops for a shoot in bright sun at 3pm close to one of the longest days of the year. I'm shooting another roll tomorrow (again in bright sun) and will rate at box speed to see what happens with the colours.
