In June 2021, we took a short family stroll through the gardens of Château de Bouthéon in Andrézieux-Bouthéon. I took very few photos with the Kowa Six, since it broke down pretty quickly. It’s a real shame, because it was a fabulous camera. The damage was beyond repair.
Analog: the "rejects" found on old film rolls. Images never before seen. Alongside slides, I am currently digitizing a great many rolls of negative film from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Much of it is family material—including many images that one has known since childhood as paper prints in Grandma’s photo albums. Yet, on the corresponding negative rolls, one now discovers unused shots or double exposures—all possessing that very special allure of the hitherto unseen. For back then, during the process of printing the images onto paper, these were essentially considered the "waste." Now, however, they have become the true treasures.

It became harder for me to post photos on social media because all that time was spent editing. And I always strive to edit them perfectly. Just so you know, I even often edit film in Camera RAW format, using calibration and HSL.

I realized I only wanted to photograph those who responded to me, otherwise I'd start taking bad photos. I went outside, took a smoke break, and canceled the shoots I didn't like, scheduling only the models I liked instead.
