If you travelling to Malaysia, I most recommend Malacca. This is because it is a great to visit, with its rich historical and cultural background from previous Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. The centre of city was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in year 2008.
A few reasons why I would love give this girl a Russian LC-A+. This has been my favorite model to shoot. Not only was she incredibly fun and witty during our photo shoot, she has a love all things analog. She's a kindergarden teacher, yet she can totally pull off the 'sexy pin-up' incredibly beautiful look. And also, doesn't she look Russianly awesome with MY LC-A+ in her hands... We'd be doing the camera a favor. :)
Holga 120 N camera with Ilford Delta 3200 pushed one stop when developing. I had a Pocket Wizard on the hot shoe of the Holga control one Alien Bee B800 with a medium sized Octobox (basically one studio light). It really was a blast controlling a studio light with a Holga!
Strong wind, closed Yellow Brick Road, missing table, swarm of 1000 bees, 100+ visitors, wrong choice of film, accidental double exposures....felt like everything was against us for this shoot...
my cousin, a figure skater who practices on the ice and works-out everyday, spent half of the day running on the beach during her shoot... poor old me, who barely works out, had to chase her around on sand and sharp rocks with three cameras while the sun was beating down on us... i got home and had to pass out from exhaustion... the results aren't as sharp since i barely had time to adjust the focus but i like the results anyway!
I love Wong Kar-Wai's movies' photography. I've had this project in mind for a looong time, and finally it came out! I first shoot the images of the movies in my television, and then shoot the light painting. The images are from the movies: Chunking Express (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109424/), In the Mood for Love (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118694/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm#cast) and 2046 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0212712/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm#cast).
Cinematography by the wonderful Christopher Doyle and
Pung-Leung Kwan. Haven't seen these movies? Then waht are you wating for? : )
We went to Texel with close friends and had a really good week there. After a long, long cold winter in Germany the few rays of sun were more than comforting. Home developed and proud of it ;-))
