Reptile Museum

I found this cool "roadside" reptile museum while I was driving around one day. I loved it...it was very very cool. Things got very interesting when this group of 1st graders showed up and the two women that were in charge of the habitat decided it would be cool to let the kids hold the huge Boa...and then thought it would be nifty to open the cage of the Rattle snake, gather the kids close, and poke at it with a metal rod until it got into "strike" position and began rattling like crazy....and then it got even worse when one of the handlers decided to show the kiddos the 8' long King Cobra....by reaching through the open cage door and gently tapping it under its head so it would rear up and puff out its hood and hisssss. Yowzer....this all was making me totally nerveous with all these kids around. But nothing happened (thank God)...and all my worrying seemed for naught. Great wild goofy place.....complete with the ten deadliest snakes in the world...a live two headed turtle....and an albino aligator. Who could ask for more? :-)
