I had been trying to pull off a bit of "endless panorama" action but I'd gacked the advance and left space between the negatives. My scanner insisted on scanning the negs individually, so, I was left with a bunch of not-so-interesting negs. I scanned some anyway and decided to try out a feature from the Photoshop Elements that came with the scanner...Photomerge. You can imagine what it's meant to do.
Initial efforts to piece two images together actually looked pretty subtle, on-screen anyway, but once I hit the GO button the images seemed to skew a little bit, and only then did the typical light/dark disparities become apparent. I had assumed that Elements would have sorted that out and was a bit surprised that it did not, especially since it looked as though it had until I actually saved the image.
As it is, I think the result is sufficiently lomo to post here.
