The Meliti Power Plant (Meliti Thermal Power Station) is one of the most important lignite-fired power stations constructed in Greece in the early 21st century. Its construction was a major technical project for the Public Power Corporation (PPC), aiming to utilize the lignite deposits of Florina and to strengthen the country’s energy security.
