Tashkent ended up being shot on a roll of Fujifilm Velvia 100 slide film I picked up in Tokyo back in August 2025. Once I got the film developed, it became pretty obvious I’d messed something up — either forgot to check the ISO setting on the camera or accidentally bumped the exposure compensation dial. The only other, much less likely possibilities are bad film or the lab screwing up the development. Anyway, every frame came out insanely dark, probably around three stops underexposed, which slide film absolutely does not forgive. So during color grading I had to push the scans really hard just to get the images into “somewhat visible” territory.
