Kanta Karat welcomes CHAN for a residency, where he spent time in Jitra as part of a ever-evolving residency with Kanta Karat. There wasn’t really a fixed outcome, rather a spontaneous space for exchange of processes, materials, and ways of seeing. We moved between film shooting and developing by hand, cyanotype experiments, and a couple of yaps that involves tattoo practice to image-making. What mattered wasn’t just what we produced, but how we shared it. Working within the pace of a small town, the residency unfolded quietly shaped by available light, daily routines, and whatever we had on hand. This album holds fragments from that time. Moments of making, testing, and figuring things out together. All captured on our trusty ol' cameras!
