In the heart of Minsk.

Belarus. Minsk. Autumn. As always, the cloudy but unusually warm autumn of 2025. It's mid-November, and the weather allows me to enjoy a stroll around Minsk with the inimitable OLYMPUS PEN EE-2. Of course, when you have a camera like this, a camera with a half-frame, I strive to go wher it's the one that can see and capture those emotions that perhaps I still couldn't capture without it. In the very center of Minsk, in its very heart, there is an island, "The Island of Tears". On this island, everyone cries, including those famous Vitebsk angels once released by Marc Chagall. On this island, there's room just for whole tears and full eyes of tears, and only for half words, and only, it seems to me, for frames made from half frames. In my opinion, this is an amazing place for its emotional intensity and depth of penetration. Whether on a sunny summer evening or on a cloudy day in late autumn, you can choke on emotion. There's not enough air for full words. There's not enough angle for a full frame. Everyone is crying here, begins with angels, wich there are who inhabiting here... Everyone aren't enough dry hands and wings here to wipe away a tear and fly away, including angels, wich there are who inhabiting here... That's why I came here with my friend, with my friend in wich frames are a half-frame, with my friend OLYMPUS PEN EE-2.

Thank you for drawing attention to this particular series and this photograph. It's important to me. Perhaps I'll return to this topic soon, to the photographs of this memorial. In my opinion, it's worth it.
