The Black Sea with the Yashica Mat 124G on Provia 100F - I guess I was a bit bold using a finicky slide film as only the second roll I ran through my new toy. The results were surprising—in both good and not-so-good ways. I was mostly worried about getting the exposure just right, since slide film doesn’t handle over- or underexposure well at all. But even though I relied solely on the camera’s built-in light meter, the exposures turned out OK. What I didn’t enjoy as much was realizing how unforgiving the film’s extremely limited dynamic range is—you really need to be aware of this when composing your shots, making sure there aren’t drastic light differences in the frame, because the film just can’t handle it. And, well… I wasn’t very aware 😅 Also still working on mastering manual focus—and keeping the camera perfectly still.
