Five years ago, my house was broken into. The thief took everything my cameras, lenses, and all my gear were stolen. At the time, I was really passionate about photography. I was constantly out shooting with my LC-A camera and experimenting with a Daguerreotype lens. Losing all of that in an instant was devastating. After that incident, it became really hard to find the motivation to shoot with film again. The idea of replacing the LC-A or getting another Daguerreotype lens felt overwhelming financially and emotionally. But recently, that old spark has started to come back. I discovered the joy of shooting film with a half-frame camera. It’s been a great way to work around not having high end gear and dealing with the rising cost of film rolls. Lately, I’ve been shooting a lot, and honestly, I feel happy again. Rediscovering this joy reminded me why I loved photography in the first place. And because of that, I feel like I should share some of my latest photos with you #35mm#halfframe
