Citroën 2CV, Renault 5, Peugeot 204 : perhaps these three are not everybody's first choice when talking about vintage cars, but for me, they are on the podium. Simply because my family owned them, and thus, as a kid, I spent hours in the back seat of each... Yeah, memories... My number one is the Peugeot, we made thousands of kilometers for summer trips together, to Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, and of course the French Côte d'Azur, Corsica or Atlantic Coast... I remember the horizontal gear shift... and I still can imagine the smell and the feel of the plastic coating, especially after hours of drinving under the summer sun ! We even took the dog with us... 😅
Thanks to the owners of these three cars for the talks we had together on that day. And, yeah, it's me in the driver's seat of the Peugeot. 😎
