Why making photos or any other art? Andrey Tarkovsky answered this for me: “Art is born whenever there is a timeless and insatiable longing for the spiritual, for the ideal: that longing draws people to art.”
Why film? That’s my way of saying no to AI-generated noise. While everything else became doubtful, film remains real.
For lomographers: I come from Krasnogorsk near Moscow - the home of Krasnogorsky Zavod (KMZ) and the birth place of Zorki, Zenit, Horizon, Jupiter, Helios and Zenitar. The story of my family is entangled with this factory.
