  ‘Distorted Bodies’ explores our distorted versions of Beauty and the impact this has on us. Stemming from my own experience with an Eating Disorder and Body Dysmorphia, I aim to use photography to visualise obscure perspectives that question an individual’s perception of their body. This series explores using Emulsion Lifts to manipulate the body within a Polaroid photograph. Working with this fragile medium is challenging; the artwork is created in water with delicate positioning. Within this I explore manipulating the arrangement of the emulsion to provide an abstract take on the form of the body. #polaroid #polaroidemulsionlift #emulsionlift #distortedbodies
