Traveling the world with an old Afghan box camera – it is no longer just a memory of the early pioneers of the 1800s. Meet Maxi, the photographer who works with a large format camera on the streets of Barcelona.
This beach is a paradise, the water is so clear.. Tried to shoot with Krab and LC-Wide ..this are the best shots out of 3 rolls. I´m very happy with the results!
Meet the LomoApparat, the totally EXPERIMENTAL, incredibly WIDE and super EASY TO USE 35 mm film camera with a 21 mm wide-angle lens! Photo by Elena Loffreno
Hannah came for a quick visit and we tested a light setup, a camera and film stocks. This is from a roll of Fuji 400h I used as a reference material, comparing the frames to ones I shot on heavily expired slide film - Ektachrome 64 & Fuji 100D respectively. Using the same metering and light setup I tried to evaluate if the slide film is viable still. The difference to this reference roll is stark but I think the slides are still usable. You'll find some examples of them in my 35mm colour album here!
I hesitated before I decided to publish these photos, because I'm still uncomfortable with portraits. But this night had something special, and the moment spent with this beautiful person remained in our memories. I first photographed her furtively, then, when she noticed it, she "showed off", then came to our table, served us a glass of red wine, and we laughed and talked... it was one of these improbable moments, made possible by this vintage camera, whose trigger made this typical noise... That's the reason why I love photography, and above all, for because of the possibilites it offers of reaching out to others and letting others come to you. 😎📸
