For my 29th birthday I invited my friends Arjen & Manon who run a project called http://www.tintypestudio.nl/. They brought down their Tin Type Mobile Studio with dark room and full camera equipment to shoot some wet plated collodion photos of me and my friends. We had lots of fun and I truly love the stunning results. We created nicely shaped paper frames with our own 1920 stamp with our initials in it. To finish up the project.
I had the huge luck to get the hands on a Canon A-1, found in an estate-liquidation. It was for free and in absolutely splendid condition. These are my first test-shots, I'm really happy with them :)!
I recently bought my first manual SLR; a Praktica MTL 5B, which came with a nice 1.8/50 lens. I took it for a spin around my house, but also to my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. I love the possibility of 1.8 as an aperture, but I still have lots to learn about depth of field as you might be able to tell from the picture with the three ducks and the three birds.
