When I found analog photography, I arrived somewhere.
To a place where the colors and lights are that I had always been looking for.
The flaws of analog are beautiful, like the limits of the body: squinting from the light, or at other times seeing the world through a veil of tears.
I love its unpredictability, the waiting for development, and the arrival of the images, which you rejoice in like a child at the lights of a Christmas tree glimpsed through a keyhole.
It helps me pay attention outward; I am learning to see.
