There is a specific mood to Bamberg under an overcast sky that only black and white film can truly capture. This album is a collection of moments along the river and bridges, where the water meets the architecture. The AGFA APX 400 handled the flat light perfectly, adding a layer of atmospheric grain to the domes of the churches and the love locks on the bridges. It’s a raw, honest look at the city, hand-processed in my home lab.
The results from my first test roll with a new-to-me Revue 400SE. I explored the contrast of Hubland in Würzburg – from the new construction sites and geometric buildings to the patches of wild nature growing in between. I also experimented with a double exposure. This is the raw beginning of my experience with film.
This camera is special to me. I bought this Olympus Pen F as a gift to myself to celebrate passing my German language exam. It has been a dream camera of mine for a long time. This is the very first test roll (AgfaFoto APX 400). My goal was to test the camera in various lighting conditions—from the soft light of my apartment to the streets of Würzburg at night. Since this is a half-frame camera, I focused on creating diptychs, pairing details of my home interior with scenes from the city. I developed the film at home myself.
