Hey there, I'm Hugo and welcome you to my little lomography page.
It is hard to describe my interests, but taking a step back and looking at the projects I've done in the past, I can see a distinct pattern: I like to understand how things work from the ground up. Whether it's software compiled down to a sequence of instructions running on a machine, or the process of photographing, developing, scanning, and editing, both examples describe multi-step processes. By understanding every step, I can see what to tweak or change to achieve the desired results. Projects originate by studying each step, replicating previous work, and experimenting on top of it.
I founded a small hacklab with a bunch of friends in Munich that follows this observation and I'm generally quite active in this scene. FAFO e.V. is a grassroots and non-profit semiconductor research, applied science and analytical chemistry lab in Munich.
I'm currently studying informatics at the Technical University of Munich with focus on cyber security.
