The visit to Saint-Louis in Senegal was great. Coming there for an assignment I had a little time with my great colleague Seydina to walk around. The colourful pirogues, resting on trash-shores, like physical 3D graffities. The many goats with the eternal sunshine of a spotless mind. In just a few minutes there is new things to discover, before they vanish by the rising sea and the endless sand...

My last trip in 2021 took me in december to Ghana. I had been there before, on my Stretched Terrain journey (link below) but this time it was a bit different. I came out of a tiring year and when I arrived not much of my assignment was organized, which was communicated before. So the first days were very slow, sleeping and organizing shootings. Normally I would have been more out and photographed more, but different trips different energy. I had a good time, though. Among various things I visited the cultural venue of Apam, which was almost entirely built with bamboo. The curator is Kojo, who calls himself just black! Cool dude, cool pictures. https://www.lomography.com/magazine/341486-the-world-according-to-herr-willie-stretched-terrains-on-wheels-through-west-africa-part-one

Here are my LC-A+ shots of the photoshoot by my friend. Thank God it was a sunny day and hence my choice of the film was justified. Love the colors and all behind-the-scenes shots of the event :)
Made my friend bring her scarf and dance around on her home terrace. It was a pretty evening. She was imitating a typical Indian woman, who covers her face with a cloth, either as a religious custom, or a family custom, or hiding from people's stares or simply as a protection from the fierce Sun. She puts on a seductive look in those beautiful eyes, when she sees something she likes or wants. Beautiful expressive eyes !!
We visited a friend's construction site of a diamond factory. My city is one of the biggest center in the World for diamond cutting and polishing. This factory is designed by my friend's boss, made up of exposed concrete and circular cut outs, in the similar fashion as Modernist architects. Did I mention, I am the weird architect who loves scaffolds :)
