I was walking in the footsteps of Roald Amundsen in Svalbard and stayed one week in the northernmost settlement on the Planet: Ny Ålesund. Just before the north pole. I stayed in a scientific station and was afraid taking shots would be impossible in the polar night due to the lack of light. But I put my LCA 120 on the slippery ice or on a gorillapod and exposed the living hell out of my pictures. And Roald himself got a lighting show, all for the sake of science...

I have been in the Olympiastadion of Berlin a few matches before christmas and witnessed why that is: it snowed heavily. The referees then take an orange ball, so you can see it on the white turf. Ah by the way, my team one in this majestic stadium, iluminated on a winterday...
