some of you might remember that i used to go to an abandoned colony of garden patches in berlin and after more than 1 year there were suddenly people living there. it was kind of strange to actually see how they installed themselves there. same thing happened now when i went to the former ice cream manufactury in kreuzberg. @andrejrusskovskij did upload some pics of it already iirc but i did expect an abandoned building but instead it was a ruin which is used as residence. there are currently about 50 people living there between rats and garbage and graffitis. out of planks and wire they build some barracks inside the building. i even saw that there is obviously something you could name as appartment - well it has windows. i have no clue what it looks like inside. the internet plattfortm of a big german weekly just uploaded a small report on the buidling a few hours after i was there: http://www.spiegel.de/video/eisfabrik-bulgarische-roma-leben-in-fabrikruine-in-berlin-video-1310435.html to me it is an ambivalent thing. on pics you want places to look good/cool/nice but there is no coolness in this place. no water, no electricity but garbage and tons of garbage and hundreds of rats. - an in the summer i guess a bestial smell in the air.

Dear Lomo-Friends,
earlier this year, my blog Lomoherz got nominated for the South Tyrol Media Award 2013 (yay:). They invited me to their lovely place in Northern Italy and I had a week';s time to roam around and realize my project in order to (perhaps) win this Media Award. The result (i.e. the articles) will be online at the beginning of January with possibly hundreds of lomographs. Then, some time in spring, a jury will decide which one of the 3 remaining blogs will win this glorious "thang" ;)! If you would like to help me win - f.ex. by spreading the word or liking the articles once they've been published I would be so delighted! Because, in the end, you will help spreading the love for analogue photography just as my article(s) will be filled with all the love I';ve got for lomography ♥
Today, I've got a small (tiny really) sneak peek for you, you're the first ones to see them, actually ;)
(These pictures came straight from the lab, so I might do a re-scan)
Lomo on!
i am a little bit disappointed with my lc-a, because my layer is almost invisible.
