I bought a nice Olympus XA2 on ebay and for its first shots I loaded a roll of Kodak Elite Chrome that I re-loaded backwards as redscale film. The film is 200 ISO film which I exposed at 100 ISO (to compensate for the redscale) and then cross processed at home with Unicolor C-41 chemicals pushed 1 stop. When done, I found that my new camera had a major light leak. and that film was underexposed by a couple of stops.
After shooting a roll, take it into a dark room and open the film. Then sprinkle hot water filled with baking soda all around on the film, with flicking my fingers. Rewind it and put into a pan and pour water, and boiled it for about 5 minutes. Rinse and dry, and cross-deveop it. Done!
