As the weeks went by, my love for her became an obsession, as is the nature of unrequited love. I spent every penny I had on her, trying to delay the inevitable. I had always naively believed that money couldn’t buy love and it hurt me to admit that, had I been richer she would stay with me longer. But there would come a time when even money couldn’t buy her, like a flame that burned too bright she couldn’t last. So I became an amateur meteorologist, studying the horizon like an anxious parent watching their child take their first, faltering steps, looking for cloud formations and changes in the wind, trying desperately to make the most of our time together. But the happiness I felt in her presence was now tinged with sadness as I could feel her slipping away.

My first roll of Velvia 50 through the Mamiya. Man, I wish slide film was more available and affordable! It's good stuff.

I don´t really remember how we met, i guess instagram was involved but I am not so sure anymore, what i can remember though, is the fun time we had shooting our pictures. She really is expressing her personal style and personality in these pictures. A very cool and relaxed person to work with. She now works as a fashion Designer in Berlin, you can find her awesome works here: https://www.instagram.com/sonnenkind.design/ Also check out my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dennisgelner/ and my website https://dennisgelner.com

Portland in winter 2021 (2022?); shot in Ilford Ortho Plus 80 with a Lomo LC-A+ This film and camera combination makes everything look evil and haunted, or maybe like a Portishead song.

Here's my one more try to shoot infrared trichromes. I shot an entire roll with red, green, blue and IR filters to check how SFX will look as color images. All raw b&w pictures are also uploaded here in album so you can try to make your own color or infrared trichromes. All of them are uploaded in blue-green-IR-red order.

Utah's landscapes are too majestic and larger than life so this Summer I bought a Fuji G617 and tried my hand at composing some massive panoramas. This is my second attempt at working with this beast and it hasn't been easy. When I got back home, a depth meter I ordered was waiting in my mailbox... sure wish I'd had it during the adventures, it would have made focusing so much easier and accurate.
