This photo was taken with expired Kodak E100VS slide film (expired in 2012), which I found at a secondhand camera shop in Sapporo. To add to the challenge, the camera I used suddenly started acting up—it struggled to advance the film properly, and the light meter was inconsistent. When I received the email notification from the lab nearly a month after sending the film in, my heart was racing. I’m so grateful that some shots turned out—especially this one of the Twelve Apostles in the morning light. No matter how many times I look at it, I never get tired of it.
