It became very popular in germany two(?) years ago, especially by teenager. Even McDonalds sold them :D But conservative news made a huge shitstorm on this drink, it would be soooo dangerous. Kids could choke to death, because of the tapioca bubbles. And it had so much calories and as double as much sugar as Coke and so much chemicals in it and so on and so on. Now the Hype is over, I still like it, but now you have to search the stores, which sell them. My trusted Sushi-Store has a versatile offering of Bubble Teas.
